The LIFE-Aquemfree project has presented its final results at the European Commission Directorate-General for Environment Beaulieu Quarter building in Brussels. The event was held on 27 June 2018, and was organised with the invaluable collaboration of Anikó Seregelyi, from the Research and Innovation unit of the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development, and Gerard Shortle, from the General Directorate for Environment.
Participants received information on the project’s aims, methodology, results and conclusions, which immediately led to an instructive debate with questions and comments of a technical, administrative and political nature. Most of the attendees were public employees from different Commission units related to agriculture and the environment. Also present were representatives from delegations in Brussels of some European regions, including the Region of Murcia Brussels Office.
With this event, and following its presentation the previous week in Murcia by the Regional Minister for Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, the LIFE-Aquemfree project ends its activities after four years of existence. Now the activities envisaged in the After-Life-Plan get under way. But that’s another story…
