The LIFE-Aquemfree Project was invited by the European Commission to the EIP-AGRI workshop “Connecting innovative projects: Water & Agriculture”, which was held in Almería on 30-31 May 2018. This networking event provided the opportunity to make contact with EIP-AGRI Operational Groups and representatives of other European projects, exchange best practices, identify common challenges and explore potential solutions as well as to promote ongoing cooperation in the future.

A total of 54 projects were presented on Water and Agriculture issues under way in many regions across Europe. At one of the meetings, the “Buffer Zones/Strips” working group identified common interests for submitting a possible joint thematic networking proposal to the Horizon 2020 programme.
