SECTOR / ACTIVITY OF THE PARTNER

The Regional Ministry of Agriculture and Water is the Department of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia responsible for proposing, developing and implementing the general guidelines of the Governing Council in terms of agriculture, rural development, livestock farming, agribusiness, fishing and water, as well as being authorized by regulations to pay the expenses related to the Common Agricultural Policy (paying organization); those related to research and technological development in the agricultural, forestry and food sectors; research on fishing, shellfishing, marine aquaculture, seaweed cultivation and any other form of industrial cultivation, environment, and any other assigned by the current legislation.

The Agri-food Industry and Agricultural Training Department, assumes the powers and functions on industry and agri-food promotion, recognition of producers organizations and operational programs, modernization of farms, agricultural training, agricultural health and technology transfer.
